efi for a 77 ford truck

does any one know what the best route is to go to swap my carb motor to a efi? I thought about going with the 460 out of a 94 or newer but not sure if that is the best way to go any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: efi for a 77 ford truck

I'm doing the same with my 79 F100. I'm building a 91 Mustang 5.0 for the swap because there's tons of info out there and since it's a 302 it's a direct bolt in compared to 4.6 or 5.4. Just buy a complete parts vehicle so you'll have everything you need.
Holley, Edelbrock and mass-flo all offer bolt on kits as well.

IMO the best (and cheapest) way is to use a late 7.5L EFI. Finding a donor should not be that difficult. Look for an E-350/373 van.
