Ignition Coil Location

I'm relocating the ignition coil in my truck and have it now sitting about 3-4" above my power distribution box on the driver side fender. This is obviously much closer to the computer, and is now also within a foot or so of the TFI module. Could the ignition coil being this close to the TFI or computer cause any problems? False triggering, or too much EMI, anything?

It shouldn't. The computer is encased in an EFI suppression/shielded metal housing. As long as the case is intact, the internal computer parts will be shielded. It doesn't take much metal to shield from EFI/EMF ... besides the computer case, you also have the metal firewall, metal cowl and advantages of distance from the source working on your side.

However, stranger things have happened. If or until you run into unresolved computer related problems there should be not reason for concern.
