Short? in lights?

I have a problem with my 5.0 93 notch like I've never seen before.
My alternator is new but I dont know its rating. Doesn't show much of a charging rate in daylight with just the cd player on. When I switch to the lights, all hell breaks loose! The tach quits, the lights are real dim, the charging indicator needle drops out of sight, and the turn signal arrows light up. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of problem. I'd appreciate ant and all help with this issue. Thanks, Mike.

You have horrible grounding issues, and maybe even alt connection issues to go with it...

Re-Ground everything first tehn test it.

Checked and cleaned grounding straps at back of motor,
and added a new motor to chassis, and everything is fine.
