Re: 460 efi questions

This is great; I am working on a similar project- I have a 1979 mark v- and want to accomplish the same thing with efi and such. Glad I stumbled onto this thread as it's cleared up my hood clearance question.

Is the E4OD much bigger than the C6? I was considering the same transmission and was thinking that it would fit due to the size of the C6.

Re: 460 efi questions

from my understanding....The "factory" efi is a horse of a different color?

The heads are vastly different from any performance head on the market, especially in the intake area, to make provisions for the injectors.

Are you intending to make any performance modifications?

The E4OD is huge, compared to anything else. To find a comparison, it makes the C-6 look like its sitting next to a C-4. You willl have to modify the floor pan, count on taking out the transmission hump and reshaping a good deal of the tunnel to accomodate the thicker body shape. Its a great transmission, after after the 94 - 95 versions has proven to be fairly robust, but except for a few internal parts (5 gear planetary) it has little in common externally with the C-6.
