Idle problem update 2!!

Went back to Ford today to check on my car. Buy the way , if you don`t read previous posts by me you will have NO idea what I`m talking about. Any whoo. I loose patience with Ford tech and finally came to me that if some folks (including me) think that there is a potential connector or loose wire then lets start the car and start unplugging things and see if idle gets better with the theory that we may now be relieving the computer of its burden so to speak. Just a theory mind you. Some have asked if mass air is plugged in. So first thing I do is walk past tech , use his tools to unhook battery and then UNHOOK, yes unhook the mass air sensor wiring . Re connect battery and start car. BBBBBAAAAAMMMM, Car ran like a champ for 20 min with the emergency brake on, in drive and this thing idles like a sewing machine. The reason is the mass air sensor is bad . Most people know that if you unplug a mass air sensor car will quickly run like crap but if sensor bad just the oppisite happens. I don`t know the technical reason (loop back codes ect.) but computer was sure happy not to have bad sensor hanging around it`s neck. Further evaluation under high powered magnify glass show that sensor wire broke!! Which means car will still run but like crap and drive computer crazy. New sensor will be here in the morn($160.00 WOW!) Thanks to all that helped. If I did`nt get SSSOOOOO much feed back ,I don`t think I would have kept thinking about it so hard. I can`t go back and look at every post but if YOU suggested the maf sensor then a special thanks! Buy for now buy not long.
