Time for some upgrades!
Now that major idle prob solved it is time to move on to PERFORMANCE. I wanted to wait until I had a perfect solid base to continue from. I have a 92 5.0 lx AOD with shift kit. Pullies, 76mm mass air 70mm throttle bod. Adjust. fuel pressure with gauge. C&L cold pipe w/ k&N. Heads, intakes , injectors, cam, exhaust ALL STOCK. Right now Im getting 225hp at the wheels and about 245tq. I want to make 300 at the wheels with no power adder. This car must "look" stock and will not be draged at all. I was thinking GT40 turbo swirl heads / 1.7 roller rockers , cobra or gt40 tubular intake(if I can find one). 24# injectors(already have a set of e-bay), And a 190ltr pump(Ihave it,never installed).A good set of ceramic headers. Chime in and tell me what u think . Any suggestions would be nice!! thanks P.S. Must be emmision legal.

Ha , my first car was a 72 pinto. Never said I could do it all at once . Thought I would save up the parts then do it in one shot. K&N back to throttle body are on the car now and I have fuel pump and 24# injects as a start to the collection.

Re: Time for some upgrades!
How badly are you wanting to go with Ford parts?
The key to keeping it emissions happy will be the cam, and the cats on the exhaust.
You're making decent power now, so a head and intake upgrade, and a good exhaust system will do a lot for you.
Here's what I'd propose:
Intake: Edelbrock Performer
Heads: Edelbrock Performer 1.90" valve, AFR 165, Trickflow Twisted Wedge
Cam: stock, with 1.7 roller rockers
Exhaust: unequal length shorties, 2-1/2" catted H/X-pipe, 2-1/2" cat-back.
Lastly, what gearing is in the car? With the AOD, I'd go 3.73 or 4.10.

Intake , I like that . Heads, I would be fine with except that they don`t use steel spring seats and some how shrapnel in the engine is, well ,A BAD THING. We agree on cam and rockers. I like your choise of exhaust. Rear already a 373. Dont want to by EDLE heads and the have to machine in steel seats. Me and you are VERY close though in the set up!! Thanks

Oh , the twisted heads are OUT! Twisted combustion chamber and valves puts a unusual amount of side load on valve guides and next thing u know a oil usage prob.

Re: Time for some upgrades!
Sounds like the AFR 165 is for you then.
I've had no issues with either the Edelbrock or the Twisted Wedge heads though.
