Re: Idle problem AGAIN!! NO WAY?

Just ran #1 again. Key on then key off. unook connectors. Run engine to temp. Hook red test lead to hego signal and black test lead to neg. on battery. 0.00 volts. No more , no less!!! . If I hook connectors togeather then I get 12 volts to 14 volts with light acceleration. But I get nothing at all doing test with plugs unhooked. This test done on drivers side only.

You're checking the wrong cable........ if you check the wire colors on the sensor side, you should have 2 white's and 1 black...... the 2 white's are the heater element wires and the black wire is the O2 signal output.... this is the one you should be monitoring the voltage from, (or the corresponding wire at the harness connector side) and it shouldn't read over 1.0 vdc., connected or disconnected.

HOLY ****E BATMAN Assumed that cause diag. show black wire as ground or negative that white wire directly above must be the signal output. EGG ON FACE!!! Tomorrow another day. Start in the morn with test #1. #2 is about impossiable for me to do. "Create a vacume" I DONT THINK SO!!. not write now the way this car is running. #4 is fine . Test good. #3 will be done again . Black is output signal. Got it.

IGN OFF, O2 sensor disconnected..... measure resistance between white wire pins of the sensor. Anything ≤ 6 Ω = PASS.

Test #1 DR. side 0.17v , 0.18v with a little throttle. Pass. side 0.20v , 0.23 with a little throttle. Wainting for engine to cool to room temp and then test #3 to follow. Will also do test #4 again.

From those readings, you do have a lean condition in the engine...... the problem is reduced to ID'ing what is causing it. Fuel pressure is within specs and a new MAF was installed. The areas to concentrate on would be vacuum leaks (intake, MAF duct, PCV system, vacuum lines, etc)....... the BP/MAP sensor does not have a vacuum hose attached.....right? ...... redo a KOER self test in order to trigger a cylinder balance test after KOER codes are flashed (to id possible cylinder misfire caused by faulty injectors)...... exhaust leaks in the headers?

#1 New mass air sensor. Yes
#2 fuel press @ 43 psi Set with vac unhooked
#3 Maf ducting TIGHT!! Checked last night , all good
#4 No vac line to MAP. This is a MASS system. MAP only for barometric pressure. Were on same page so far.
#5 Little ball in PCV still rattles. Guess it is still good. About 4 year old. Line could be bad though??
#6 Put new vac line to charcol canister to intake last night . Did not help. Line looked like it came over on Mayflower!
#7 Going to finish #3 & #4 test. Will report
#8 Going to run KOER as you suggest. Will report.
P.S. One injector has a lot of "black" crap aroud the upper seal to rail. It is #2. Black "tracer" lines around upper to lower intake on pass. side. Intake was took off four year ago to port match to throttle bod. Be back soon. NOT JUMPING AT ANYTHING YET!!
