Man that is an awesome ride, I gotta ask, is the color Tangelo? I love that paint. Keep up the good work, I wish I knew how to post some pictures like that.

Actually L, I may still use the Lokar too, we're figuring some stuff out on it. Hopefully next pic posting should have the grille and windshield as well as the backglass and dash. I'll keep posted and thanks for the compliments guys.

I have a question - in that last pic you see how your pedal linkage on the firewall is sitting at an angle, mine is not like that, mine points out straight toward the front of the car, so if i run a straight rod to the carb it will not "pull" it will only "lift" the linkage, but not enough to open the throttle.
Why is mine like that ?
Did it come out of the factory last ? is it the runt ?
*****EDIT*****
I just re-read your other post, i guess i'll heat mine, im gonna run the lokar bracket and throttle cable, at the rear of the intake im gonna fab up a little bracket to hold the cable just below the pedal inkage, as the pedal pulls towards the firewall it will lift/pull the cable
Mine is stock but wish my pedal was a bit higher than it is. Not much travel there, enough but having to stretch the toes to reach it isn't fun either.
I noticed on 64galaxies there are mounting holes for the stock type linkage thingy bob, can't think of the real name. Or does the stock type peice not bolt up there for one reason or another? I'm referring to the mounting holes in the raised area on the back of the intake.

We decided to go a bit custom, just clears the intake. Like I said, that is still up in the air, but it physically works fine. As far as interior, bench all the way gbeeler!!! If I ever do another, I'm thinking a 500XL convertible 63 or 64 for the buckets in that car, but this one, the bench. It's been ready to go in for 3 yrs.

I keep hoping to find a set of leather seats with the shoulder belt built in to the seat. I really like the black and silver of the 500XL stock vynal seats though. Might have to try and find something that could be recovered in similar manner. If you ever decide to do the buckets let me know. I have a console I restored and then pulled out. Gave up trying to make the shifter work with the C6.

A little on the engine. It's a 1975 block and crank, 460 with a 514 stroker kit, Coast high performance or SRP, can't remember. JE pistons, Eagle H-beam, 9.25 compression. Canton pan, Motorsport heads with oversized valves plus about 50 extra horsies in machine work. 514 crate roller cam, roller rockers, Blue Thunder dual plane intake, Holley 850 carb. The short block was machined local, the heads were done by Livernois Motorsport in Michigan, as well as many of the other parts. A local engine builder who drag races and raced as far back as the early 60's assembled it. He use to have the nicest 64 Thunderbolt ever, even waxed the underside to show it after races, all black in color.

Just a bit of an update, first though something funny. You people who see lots of sun know what I mean here. I'm outside today with the car in the sun trying to soften up the dash pad when I thaught maybe I'll chamois it down. I went color blind for a bit in doing so because the orange is soooo bright. I love it, and had never really seen it in the sun because I got it in the winter time. It felt like when you lay in the sun with your eyes closed and a bit later open them up seeing things almost black and white for a bit. That's what happened, I was kinda pumped over that. Other than that, things have been slow but now are picking up. I want to get my rear bumper properly installed, finally and then she goes back to have the rear window area fixed. I still haven't gotten the guy to finish my brake/fuel/tranny lines so I might have to find someone else. I don't want to because the guy that was doing it makes it look and fit beautifully. I'm thinking Coy's 18" or American torq thrust 18" with the grayish centers for wheels soon. I want to be done by Woodward cruise seeing how it wasn't ready for Power Tour.
