My orange 64\'s progress:

I know exactly what you mean. I've done that just cleaning the white interior. Don't think it's that bright til you look away and all you see is the black and white dots and stuff.
Hope it's ready for Woodward and can't wait to see it all done!!

My orange 64\'s progress:

That's why I went with non flashy colors. You see, light triggers almost all of migraines. A reflection off the rear window of the car ahead of me will trigger a migraine almost every time. If my car was that bright I'd have to change the plates from "My Gal" to "My Grain" :^) Sure pretty to see in pictures though.

Glad to see you are progressing again.

Re: My orange 64\'s progress:

Well, a bit of an update, the rear window channel is fixed, no biggy, gotta pick up the ol' Galaxie tomorrow so back at her. This means front and rear glass go in, finish the side glass fitment and soon...... wiring. I think it's time for some new pics, maybe some from outside on the trailer in the sun.

Re: My orange 64\'s progress:

Bringing the thread back to life here. How'd I go about putting it in the new progress forum? Anyone? Anyways, I got a new data plate from Marti Auto Works in AZ, thank you to members here for the advice, they and it turned out awesome. Also, some suggested to go with Ssnake-oyl for seat belt resto, ya, oh ya they turned out amazing. Turn around was quick, say a month shipped and totally worth the money. Other than that, the windows are hopefully gonna be installed soon along with the front coils. The rear bumper is in place in need of tweeking. I got it today almost good and lost patience because it's a) 90 degrees and humid and b) because there was a dark cloud comin'. Turned out to be a few drops but it was Miller time anyways. Just been putzing with some other crap on it, things that I didn't like so made better. Basically got almost all the small parts here ready to go on and big stuff here too like mufflers. I ordered Spintech's Sportsman streets in stainless and will have the rest fabbed later. I wasn't sure if the shop could order those mufflers so I did myself so all that needs to be done is installation. Clocks tickin, hate to say it but gotta get a jump and have things rolling before the crap weather comes. It snowed here on the 13th of Oct. last year and is 90 5 days short of a year later so you know it's coming.

Re: My orange 64\'s progress:

Those hot humid days always irk me and make me short tempered! Just thinking about it even!
I saw on the news how hot it is all over the place where normally it wouldn't be. Crazy weather.
Sounds like other than the weather your latest recieved items have been good to go. That's always nice and makes working on it a little easier.

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

The new data plate from Marti Auto Works, new Spintech stainless steel mufflers and the seatbelts I had refinished from Ssnake-oyl there in TX.

Oh yeah, forgot, that damn rear bumper is adjusted and good to go, with of course, paint chips (very small and from my standpoint unavoidable). Just because it has to go for a final visit to the painter for touch ups doesn't mean I gotta keep adding chips and scratches. Now, the w/shield and rear glass installation, stay tuned.

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

Good to see you moving along. We are waiting on the body shop for a meeting of the minds...hopefully a drop off date and eta will be included in said meeting. We did decide to go atleast 514 though. For an exta $1000.00 we could go to 540. If it still runs on pump gas I might have to pony up the money. Have you driven yours at all yet?

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

Negatory on the driving it, could have before I tore it apart but the frame had a date with the sandblast man a few weekends after. I just keep pushing it in and out of the garage to work on it in the driveway. I, like I mentioned earlier have been re-doing things that just weren't sitting well beit fit or paint could be better.

Good to see you're conv. is rolling quite nicely there, but that paint and body work sentance makes me cringe a tad. I think I want to try spraying the next car myself as it won't be a car of so many extremes. What type tranny is going in it? If it's the c-6, be aware like I said about the tranny tunnel while using Crites motor mounts. The 514 is a good choice though, plenty of power with that displacement, but adding better cams, heads (P-51) and intakes with NOS? Ya buddy, hang on!!! I can't wait for mine to fire, with no mufflers and then with those Spintech's. They are loud on my brothers catalytic equipped 95 stang with MAC long tubes and 2.5" pipe. I have no cats, 3" all the way. What better way to get deaf?
