Awesome build!......Hey where did you get the custom 514 decal for the air cleaner?...I'd love to get one for my 408 if they are available.

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

Ah, you noticed!! Kidding, I was so happy to find a local guy who does signs and vehicle lettering etc. to do it on the computer. I gave him a 390 one I had bought, gave it to him and said make the 390 say 514. No problemo. It was hard to put exactly straight on the air cleaner because of the rise and curvature, but I did my best, only a hair crooked. Go see someone in you're town that letters cars and makes signs, if nothing else, they can point you in the right direction. It's soon we will be working on it again, winter's here, instead of looking at it. I just noticed, how far away is Windsor from ya?

Hey that's a great idea I'll have to check into some sign places...I'm about a 1/2 hour east of toronto so windsor is a fair hike away.

Ya, you should have no problem finding someone to make them custom.

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

Hey Big Shooter! We haven't heard from you in a while. Are you still making progress?

We are moving along on the vert. Frame has been powder coated, steering rebuilt and installed, rear discs along with differential and wheels installed. Even ran stainless brake line from under the steering box all the way back to differential and installed both sway bars. Man it's getting a little slow now until the body is done. Would love to see some more car porn. You know, the kind of images that get you excited to go home to your own Gal. :^) Hope this finds you doing well.

I decided to pop in here myself and see if there had been much progress. Did he forget us?

Love that car porn statement! LOL

No forgetting here, just not much going on........yet. Towards the end of the month it's cracalackin time. I'm between jobs and the house is due for some work, yadda yadda. Plus, my trucks been needing stuff too, so a bit busy lately. Seems I'm not the only quiet on, kinda quiet on the western front but glad to see many progressing well. I gotta eat, so talk soon.

Car porn, good call. I need to see some myself. Usually Detroit Autorama gets me all fired up, but that is 1.5 months away and I gotta get the candles lit way before then. I need to install something big, the stereo and wiring ought to be very soon. Time is ticking, I know.

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

We finally got some awesome snow over here so I've been burning fuel and spraying N2O on my sled for the last few weekends. I almost forgot about the vert. I understand the money and time thing all too well. Some of us have more money than time and others have more time than money....and some yet don't have enough of either.

Where are you planning on placing speakers in the Great Pumpkin? I have kicking around the idea of building or having built a set of pods for the kick panels. I think the e-brake pedal would hit them though on the left side. Always looking for a better way to do things.

Re: Orange 64 Galaxie Progess

That's cool, always wanted a sled, let alone a nitrous sled. Sounds like the vert will be done before my whip, that's cool. I got to get a goin' here. I'm planning on 2 6x9 Boston's in the package tray, 2 6.5" Boston's for the kick panels and 1 6x9 (I think) Custom Autosound speaker in the dash. 2 JL 10" subs and 2 Alpine amps in the trunk which I think will be more custom for the amp rack and sub box. All this crap is bought and waiting to roll. I'm really concerned about the e-brake pedal and the kickouts for the 6.5"s. Hummm, we'll see soon enough. I'm starting to wrap up the house to do's so that's a relief, time for car work no doubt.
