Cool Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Sorry for the delay in posting new pictures.. I have started working a lot of overtime and havent had much time for anything else.
Here is a pic of the drivers seat cover. Iv cut the tin for the trunk area and will be laying some beads in it soon. Then I'll temporarily install it with Cleckos and make more patterns to cut more tin..

Charlie

PS. Happy Easter everyone!!!!

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Iv installed the mini cell for the nitrous. I still have some welding to do, but its in.
Oh, I also need to modify the "Flaming Skull" to mount it on the cell bracket.

Iv also post more pics of the seats on my site... I'll be posting pictures of modifying the headlight buckets for 5" carb ducting.

Stay Tune, More to Come

Charlie

Man, I've drooled over your build many times and sit speechless...
It may be a backyard garage build but it is definitely an uptown
result!
You are at a place in the build that I especially enjoy, fabbin!

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Hi again Charlie
What is the mini cell for? Aux fuel supply when on gas. Are you going to custom fab your air cleaner and 5" cold air intake. I'm tossing the idea around but I think I'll get the parts from Crites.

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Hey Jamie
Yea, Im going to build my own air induction system. I dont like giving Crites my money. I dont like their stuff that much.
The mini cell is for the nitrous. This car is going to leave a lot harder then the old MDNANGL and I dont want to give the fuel pressure a chance to drop!!

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Well.. Im having to put MDN2 on hold for a bit. I have some family issues I have to take care of. I will post some pics as usual when I get back to work on her.
BTW, I had to finally put my other motor in MDNANGL. Its been 26 years sence I installed the little 302. Cant believe she's ran as hard as she has all these years. She's running good and as soon as I put a few more break in miles on her, I'lll take her to the track and see what she can do.

cheers
Charlie

Cool Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Hi Guys
Iv set up the 5:03's on a spool and into the 3rd member. Im getting the drive line made and the rear disc brakes are set up.
Iv been playing with some fiberglass. I havent made anything before with glass, its definitely a learning experience. As I mentioned in my build log, I plan to make a glass dash. I will also be modifying the front bumper.
