64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

My 64 Fairlane. Chopped top, sectioned body, tube chassis and all home built. I'll be running a 408W on the bottle. You can see the build up from the beginning at the Midnight Angel Racing forum. It's in the build log section.

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

I spent a long time reading the link on the build....all I can say is WOW !!!
The time alone to accomplish this isn't a small sacrifice, and your wife must have some real patience to deal with this too!

I am seriously in awe of your work...the idea alone is fantastic, I always wanted to see a 64 chopped like that, and sectioning the body...well I never even dreamed it could look that damn fantastic! Reminds me of the little Muscle Machine I've had on my desk near my computer for years....

I love it man...I wish I had half the abilities you show in this project. I think a full write up should make it to the front page here at Ford Muscle when it is done.

Best of luck and keep the updates coming!!

Mike

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Royster-- No, Im not going by any drawings.. Its all pretty much in my head..

I did build a model of a 64 Fairlane to look like a ProMod drag car about 10 years ago. I modified everything from Pro Stock blown Boss 429, to chopping the top. At the time I had no idea of ever building a real version of the model, let alone how to build it. I just started with the basics and its worked itself into what it is today. One step at a time..
Of course if I had unlimited budget, It would be a ProMod Street Car!!!!!

Charlie

PS.. you really want me to build your 63....

Re: 64 Fairlane - Midnight Angel 2

Why is the intake manifold always covered up by a towel, or blurred out in all the pictures??? Is this Pro-Stock, or what?
