64 Falcon, Prior To Disassembly

Attached is a pic of my 64 Falcon. It is a 2-Dr Hardtop with only 86k original miles. It is bottom-of the-line with the 170, heater delete, and standard interior. I am assuming it was a radio delete as well, but somewhere along the line it had a radio put in it, meaning the dash has been cut out a little bit. It was originally teal with white interior. It is in need of restoration, but I'm going the A/FX route. I love the looks of the old straight axle cars. My brother is also building a 65 Comet along the lines of the one driven by Jack Chrismann in the 60's. I haven't decided on a powerplant yet, but have been considering going the modern fuel-injection route for drivability and efficiency. The front axle will be moved forward slightly (approx. 1.5"). The interior will be gutted except for the front seats, which I am going to replace with 67 Musyang buckets. This is going to be a long-term project, so updates will be slow. I am still open to any suggestions or reccomendations concerning engine, transmission, and suspension mods.

you have a nice project on your hands. i think a nice stroked 351W EFI with a T5 conversion would be a nice touch for your power plant. the driveability is awesome!!!

Im actually going for a 351W (stock bottom end) making 500-600 hp with a NASCAR Jericho 4 Spd. I wanna be able to drive this car every day or to shows and such without any issues. EFI is a little too sophoisticated for what I want, but the idea did come up. Also considered a modern 4.6L Mod engine, but they are too expensive to build compared to the dime-a-dozen small blocks. Thanks for your inpuit tho, any more will be appreciated.
