My car started out as a mess, When I bought it. The previous owner had wrecked it so it was 3 different colors on the front end and had a blown head gasket and a motor full of water. It had also been broke into and survived 3 hurricanes with no driver window............(Click Thumbnail #7)

Well, I fixed the motor up, installed a new rebuilt head and ranger roller cam, sanded the car down and gave it a rattle can paint job, cleaned out all the broken glass and cleaned out the interior, and fixed the window.....

......(Click Thumbnail #2)

It upset alot of unexpecting ricers, and even some other domestics.....

Then One day I left work, It was at night and raining doing 65mph down the turnpike when I came across a car stoped in the middle of the road with dim lights, hit the brakes and swerved and caught it with the passenger side......

Well, started tearing it apart to see what was inside......

Found a bent subframe, so, Hooked the frame up to the k-10 and used 350ci to straiten the frame, then used a bottle jack and piece of fence post to fine tune it then pulled out the body hammers and dollys to do the sheet metal for the engine compartment....

Re: TurboT-Bird

then it was time to go though the motor, and this is what came out.......

Specs- rebuilt stock bore 2.3, ranger roller cam, stock IHI, braided oil feed line, racer walsh adj cam gear.....

I had a spec stage III for it but in the process of the build my shop was broken into.....

About 6k worth of tools where stolen, my clutch, and the driver window was busted once again.......

I decided to put the stock clutch back in since I was really low on funds after this insident untill I fired it for the first time then buy a new spec.....

I droped it into the car....

Re: TurboT-Bird

next I took a spare hood and deck lid and painted them with the paint scheme I hoped to use on the whole car........

Then, I took my spare front end and sat it on with the hood for a mock up.....

Next I towed it to my main shop so it was better protected and so it would be easier to work on and mocked up where the stripes would end on the header panel, works out just perfict. (the silver will be red after final paint).....

I have used the car to test a few different shades of red, none of the paint that is on it now will stay, it will be geting a final base/clear paint job......

And thats where it sits now.......

Re: TurboT-Bird

For all you've been through with this Bird, you should pat yourself on the back for a job well done despite the odds not being in your favor. Don't quit now - your 'Bird is looking good. Nice job!!
