Re: 445cid Windsor Stroker

Well, finally got it to the pump today. Everything went well, except for I had some intermittent distributor problems. I'm running a Mallory billet distributor and I think we were having problems with the module. I'm going to grab a new MSD then go back and hit her one more time.

Other than that, everything performed great...oil was clean, compression test was awesome, it's a good solid engine.

Peak hp was 586hp @6100, peak tq was 544 lb-ft.

I was shooting for 600, but with the ignition problems we were having, I couldn't get it to respond to a 1050cfm carb, timing, Super Sucker spacer, etc.

I know that 586hp isn't anything to sneeze at, especially for a street hydraulic roller cam and a 6100 peak, but it's got more in it.

I'm uploading videos to YouTube right now. I'll post them when I'm done.

Here's some videos...

This one is actually the very first breath it took....20 degrees initial time, full fuel bowls, fired on first crank.
