And we add the Griffin aluminum radiator and shroud

And a view from slightly behind ... This is a factory Ford shroud.

Re: 54 F100 Sub-frame Project

Larry missed one very important part of the project...

Somewhere in between step one of the frame, and that last photo, the frame went from John Deere Green, to Phantom grey. This was by far the most stellar improvement the Effie project would recieve untill I was able to locate a chrome parking brake release knob

This was a fun set of pics to watch, because if you notice near the start you will see the Camaro with the rear wheels off. It was Larry's difficulties with a rear disc swap that got me over to his house for the first time, and hes one of the best friends I've ever made. I was there when all this was done, and man I can tell ya right now Jim Davis made it look as easy as armor-alling tires. He was a cool guy for sure.

Re: 54 F100 Sub-frame Project

Thanks for the kind words Darrell. The Phantom Gray was a pretty good improvement huh.

Even though the Effie is 100% funtional ... and is even insured and registered with plates ... as we know she is not street worthy yet. (no glass or mirrors)

Queenie still eagerly awaits her Effie being on the road ... Should have her Camaro back on the road by summer ... maybe that will hold her over till I can get the Effie finished off.

I do have the Effie Rear Roll Pan Project, maybe I should piece that onto this thread. Might encourage me to pull the bed and get the roll pan grafted onto the bed.

As you stated Jim Davis was one impressive guy. He was the primary force in getting me to realize I could become more "Self Suffiicient" in my Car Hobby endevours. No way I could ever thank him enough for that encouragement.

One thing is for sure ... When this Effie is finished, (to steal another phrase from Jim Davis) ... it well be "One Bitch'in Truck" ...

In fact I can tell you for certain Jim actually said exactly that about this truck.

As fate would have it ... I bought this truck from Jim Davis. For Jim is was a "pass through" ownership ... Jim never did a thing with this truck till I owned it ... actually that's not true, Queenie owns this truck, not me ... so when you see me calling it Queenie's 54 F100 that is indeed the fact of the matter.
