Re: Turning this 64 Sprint into a bad ass car.

Looks great, not having the shock towers really opens things up, changing plugs should be a breeze now.
Good luck on the rest of the build, keep us posted to your progress.

Sweet ride! 2 things...Did you know the C6 is going to soak up 75HP? Why not C4? Also, did you put the Sprint badging back on?

Sorry I missed this post and question. From what I understand a c4 is a strong tranie up to about 500hp. I have a professionally built 408 stroker and I was told this thing will put out 530-550hp. The following is the site where I bought my motor and he knows what he's talking about. He also told me that the car will run in the 10's properly set up.

No, I am not putting sprint badges on even though I have new ones. Thanks for asking.

Just a few updated pictures of undercarriage. Brakes in place, electrinc fuel pump. Waiting on drive shaft and a couple of other minor connection and this bad boy will be started. I am really getting excited especially after my mechanic took me for a ride in a 383 stroker 69 camaro ss which puts out 480hp. It was fun and I commented to him "I'm in trouble." Anyway can't wait.l

I will try and post progress pictures each day.

You tube video of car being started for the first time. The audio in the shop was so loud from the motor we could not hear ourselves talk. And of course it goes without saying it needs to be tweaked out. We did run it about 20 minutes per instructions of the engine builder at about 2000rpm. That motor was "nasty." Btw, when the mufflers go on I am installing electronic cutouts.

James,
who made the rims that you are running? Those are awesome looking on the falcon. What size did you end up with since you have the MustangII suspension? Just wondering, great build!

The rims are Boyd Coddington 17X8. The backspacing is 4.0 and 4.5 respectively. the back rims were specially made. I picked out the rims and the day I got them Boyd had died. The tires are 215/35 and 215/45. Here's my favorite picture and I love the way it sits. This bad boy will be done next week just in time for the super run in Henderson/Las Vegas. Thanks for you kind words.

Re: Turning this 64 Sprint into a bad ass car.

Show winner first time out and the car is about 95% done. Well here in Henderson/Las Vegas Nevada the Super Run Car Show ended today. There were over 1500 cars and it was quite an event with some of the most beautiful classic and other types of cars you could ever see. Two Hundred and fifty awards/plaques were given and I was one of them for "Outstanding Vehicle."

Below are a couple of videos and one is the car going to be loaded in the van. Believe or not I have not even personally driven the car yet. It doesn't even have the mufflers on, nor is it dialed it. I still need air clearner set up cause hood will not close. Also the accelartor pedal was "mickey moused" until we get a correct one. The night before the show which started on Friday the drive shaft was put in so it could at least drive. Anyway I'm really excited and I received numerous compliments.

The car is really loud in person and set off two car alarms when it cruised on Friday night. 408 solid roller stroker motor built by bad ass racing in Sonoma Ca. This is NOT a crate motor.
