Re: 1967 Ford Country Squire Restoration

For clarification, I wish I had shops that size too! I just know great people with big shops!

The first shop where the body work and paint were done is Johnny Mock Auto Body in Wilkins Township PA. Near Monroeville Pa

The shop where we pulled the engine and put the engine and trans and suspension back in was at Vogels Service in Plum Pa.

You're lucky! I don't have any friends in my state except Murff & Shotrod...

That dash repair looks very interesting. My dash has developed splits in the thin vinyl all the way across, from front to back. I don't like the idea of the hard plastic covers, if you can even get one for a 69/70 dash. Keep us informed on how the repair ages and performs with use.

Wow.... That dash pad repair looks great, awesome idea. Certainly better for $30 then what I have seen restoration shops asking.

Oh, and the wagon looks great as well.

Red face Re: 1967 Ford Country Squire Restoration

At this point, I was having a very hard time finding certain AC parts and interior parts. Also the Squire's entire wiring harness was basically beyond repair. Below was one of the most helpful things anyone could have done for this restoration. That is me on the right and Don on the left, the prior owner of my country squire. He is handing over the keys to his 67 LTD with a 390. The car was not drivable and needed a lot of work to put back on the road. It was a tough decision, but now I am in the process of taking what parts I need off it for the wagon.

Without this car, I would have never been as far as I am at this time. Not only were there great parts for the wagon, It was completely untouched in every way. It was a perfect hands on manual on how the car was originally assembled. The Squire had a lot of lines cut, vacuums blocked, AC doors zip tied open, and a very poor wiring harness that fell apart when we touched it.
Here is a special thanks to a great man. Thanks Don.

Don and I with the LTD in NC

Re: 1967 Ford Country Squire Restoration

Swapped the LTD Core support body mounts and rebuilt them for the wagon.
Wagons were torn bad. I think the wagon took a good hit at one time on the drivers side front end.
Before

After

Core support and inner fenders on!

Lots of small stuff added including the fully functional AC system

Great job. Nothing like a big land yacht to cruise around and pick up groceries with.
