MAVERICK GRABBER!!!

i am currently the proud owner of one of the very last maverick grabbers ever produced...my dad bought this car brand new in 1975...it was one of roughly 5700 grabbers produced that year, and it was the last year for the grabber option...thhis car came with a 302 4 bbl, 3 speed automatic, posi 9 inch rear, buckets black vinyl interior, it was burgundy with flat black grabber striping. i still have this gem in my backyard awaitnig restoration, but lack of a garage is hampering all attempts at this...lol...no matter, it is still in restorable condition, so time will tell...
just figured you guys would like to know about her anyway.

oh yeah shes a one owner wit 4600 miles

Jeez...you got a good car to work with there. Restore that beauty and be proud of it. With only 4600 miles on it, you're very luck to have it!

I hate to tell you this but you have a few misprints. Mavericks never did have a 9" in them or a 302 4V. Even the ealier Grabbers. But that's not to say someone didn't put that stuff in there. Just wasn't Ford.

I fair to differ. I believe you are mistaken dacofa and might have the Maverick confused with the Pinto. The Grabber was 302 equiped from the factory and I assume would have true muscle car status.

If you have a Grabber on your hands I would say get on with the restoration, it is a great find.

Iethiopian,
Nope, the Maverick and Comet never came with a four barrel carb - not in the USA and Canada at least. In Brazil and Austrailia it might be different but in North America the Mustang and Cougar got the four speed trannys, four barrel carbs all the Muscle parts.
Paul
edit: if you have the VIN we can decode it for you and tell you what the factory equipped it with.
