Smile 351c in 74 maverick

how much trouble is it to put a 351c in maverick an can it be done without buying special hedders thanks

It can be done, however you will need to buy the proper "engine swap" headers. I know of one company that offers them, Tubular Automotive. Be prepared to spend ALOT of time when changing out spark plugs, unless you cut out the shock towers.

sorry it took me so long to get back and say thanks for the info,we decided to go ahead an cut the shock towers and use early modle mustang hedders.

youd have to use the factury manifolds so yes it can be done with out buying headers but it'l save ALOT of time money and frustration to shave the towers and get the headers that way you dont need to lift the moter to change the spark plugs

Believe it or not, Hooker Comp 71-73 Mustang headers will work, with some massaging to the shock towers. They're about $200 at Summit.
