throttle cable

Hi guys , well i decided to finally stop working on my 63 galaxie & start working on my maverick again but now the throttle cable snapped so i went to some of my local junkyards & no luck ...but i was wondering will the throttle cable from a fairmont work or will the universal cable do the job ???Thanks guys .........

Using the cable housing from an old one I managed to make one. I do know that the six cylinder cable can be used on the V8 but not the other way around. I haven't tried to use a Fairmont cable. If the ends are similar and the length is close it might work.

I used the Lokar, universal one on my car, works great.

well i went to napa to get a cable, but it is for a 77 v8 car plus they are asking over 50 bucks, not counting shipping since the part is coming all the way from utah ...Oh i forgot to mention that my mav is a 6 cly car a 200.

Sheez, I used a coathanger for a "cable" for months on my '69 cougar once.... (snicker....)

x2 very easy install.

Granada should be pretty close, there are at least 3 or 4 different ones for the fairmonts/fox mustang/lttle LTD's. Early 80's T-birds/Cougars were available with an inline six also.
