69 Mach 1 steering column

When the flywheel blew up on my Mach 1 it did quite a bit of damage. It's looking like I'm going to need to replace the steering column. I'm headed to the junkyard this weekend. What vehicles are acceptable donors?

I think your only option is to get one from a 69 Mustang. In 70, they ignition switch was integrated with the steering column.

I imagine a Want ad will make your search much easier. I wouldn't think it would cost too much.

I haven't found anything so far. If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it if you could get some more info. (price/condition)

Thanks

That tiny bit of damage makes nearly the whole shebang worth Diddly! If you get a whole new one keep your old column, disassemble it and sell the collar's and what ever esle you gave left that you don't need on e-bay... I did this with a crap '68 mopar column I needed to replace and made enough money to buy a used column and enough extra for beer and supplies to rebuild it and paint it to boot! If it wouldn't be too much trouble I'd like to see a couple pics. I've got a line on one here locally that I'm going to look at Friday. I'm not holding my breath on this local one though. I saw a nice one go for $250 on ebay, so $175 doesn't seem out of line. I'll let you know one way or the other by Saturday. Thanks for taking the time to hunt one up.

I cut the end off , drove out the shaft, put in a bushing because shaft is GM , welded it up. The top part on the wiring is what plugs into the wiring on the steering shaft which is again GM, The bottom is off my car and the relay is for the horn.
