71-73 Mustang fenders... NOT the same

Well, after all the beating on the hood, got it in line. Started installing & aligning the grille & the passenger fender is different in the grille, bumper, & valance area! Guess I wanted to go to Woodward with no valance

Yep, 73 fenders are different due to the different bumper.

71-73 Mustang fenders... NOT the same

this may(probably is) a really stupid question, but do you think a 71 front clip would be anywhere close to lining up with 69 doors? I always liked the flatnosed 71, and the side scoops/fastback from the 69...thought about getting Shelby Glass from Branda, but to me the shelby had too many scoops or my taste(and kinda expen$ive)...
Often wondered if width would be close enough (with a lot of sheetmetal work to recontour fender, or splice into 69 at trimline) to make a 'kinda' factory looking custom. Anyone got a width on the 71 hood? I kinda think its a couple inches wider than a 69, but figured what the heck...
