I have had both. I am now running the RPMs due to header issues with the trickflows. The RPMs are also a better match for my combo. Both set of heads are made well.

I would go with the Trick Flow heads. They have TONS of potential for later if you want to have them ported. They now have CNC ported trick flow heads if you really wanted to get serious later down the road with your engine. Just read about them in the latest 5.0 mustang magazine. They tested them on a 347 and the heads was the only change they made and they gained 61rwhp!! That is a ton of power from just a head change.

GT40racing,
I don't really know why you had any problems with headers with the trick flow heads they have the same exhaust port location as stock heads do. I run them and have absolutly no header issuses at all with my hooker comp headers. Maybe you just have some different headers or something.

I think my problem had more to do with trying to put a 351w in a 65 fastback than anything... Yes it fit but i was trying to run a cable clutch etc. Long story short, I sold the 351w and built a 331 and now I have lots of room....

Ahh yes that was your problem. How does that 331 run?? Did you put Trick Flows on it or are you running the RPMS?

I am running the RPMs on the 331. My car is at Vintage mustang getting a shelby rollbar, global west suspension, torque boxes, custom aluminum radiator install...Heater delete, front sheetmetal replaced( I am picky). I am getting everything done so when she comes home in the next two weeks I can install the 331. I sold my tricks because I was pissed with the 351w issues i went through. I started over from the bottom and just grabbed the summit magazine and bought all like products. Do not worry this is just the first engine. The 331 should run well with the t-5, 9inch with 3.50s gears.
