stang fairlane 67 maybe other rnp tranny clearance

i need to know if the power steering ram and idler mounting points for the stang and fairlane are the same distance side to side apart...67 that is.
also The 94 and 95 T5 Tranny will not work with the Steeroids kit if you are using the clutch cable set up. 93 and earlier should work however.<so they say...is the t5 the same as the tko 500 or 600 or the richmond 6 speed? see i want the correct and best rack and pinion for my app. but before i make my decision i must make certain i can put in a manual tranny later. here's my options...

http://www.nzmustang.com/Newintoold/newintoold.htm

i have the 66 fairlane w/ c4 but its has the 67 stang suspension, whereas the 66 stang didnt have the same setup til 67 so i am told.

thanks

wrt the 5-speed fitment question -- here's what I've been able to find out through rather lengthy research .... first, the T-5 vs the TKO's .... while similar in terms of mounting to the bellhousing (and there are some "issues" there wrt spacers and bolt pattern depending on the b-housing), the "big issue" is in tunnel clearance ..... for early 'Stangs, the T-5 size is closer to the Ford stock 4-spd tranny (aka toploader), particularly in height .... as far as I been able to determine, the TKO's are larger, especially in the vertical dimension .... **IF** you want to preserve the stock pinion angle, the T-5 will work straight away, but the TKO's will require some modest (well, OK, serious) sheetmetal mods to the tranny tunnel to accommodate the extra height of the TKO's to maintain stock angles .... by TKO's I mean 3550/500/600 and the 6-spd T-56 .... true enough, some vendors do offer rear tranny supports that drop the TKO tail down enough not to require heavy-duty sheet metal mods .... this changes significantly the pinion angle ... there's a lot of debate on that matter, but I'd suggest staying as close to the stock angle as possible .... if you need/want the extra strength of a TKO, then you will have to come to terms with the tunnel sheetmetal mods and pinion angle issue .... my plan is to have a modest HP 289 (331) in a '67 FB and use a G-Force T-5 upgrade .... get some improvement in strength without having to cut-up the floor pan .... all of this is just one guy's opinion .... hope this helps ..... be careful of claims by vendors ....
