New heads, quench chambers?

I have a 351 C 2V with the open chamber heads. I would like to put higher compression pistons in, and i have been told that you cant go much over 9:1 with open heads. Is that wrong? If not where could i get come quench heads. Would the edlebrock performer RPM heads considered quench, they have a comperable size combustion chamber to the quench heads. I have also heard of Australian heads for a clevland, anybody heard anything about those?

The Aussie 2v quench chamber was made for the Aussie 302C. They vary around 60~62cc combustion chambers and I think they will out-perform the 4v quench chambers up to about 6000rpm. 60cc chambers when fitted to a 4.040 bore 351C with flat-top pistons you will get about 10.3:1 compression ratio depending on your deck height. This is fine with our 95 octane and you can pick them up in New Zealand and Australia for about USD100a pair... Does that break your heart?

If you want to go aluminum heads there is are Australian alternatives that come up on Ebay from time to time. Search for "CHI" "3V" or AFD cleveland heads The flow numbers are awesome. Check out recent year's "Engine Masters Challenge" for the power these clevelands made.

I have seen those heads, but they are way out of my league. I could definatly afford the $100 a pair, but i have yet to see those for that price. I have seen a rebuild kit that would get me 10.5:1 compression with my open chamber heads. They are pop up pistons. I have heard that the open chambers dont burn as well and i will have detonation problems.
