Oil Recommendations

I live in Phoenix, AZ and am wondering about what type of oil you guys might recommend for my 65 stang. I have a 1987 5.0L EFI HO in it. Do you guys recommend I stick with Ford Motorcraft parts or will Castrol or others work just as good as Motorcraft? Or is this all subjective and different depending on the person I ask?

The weather is cooling down slowly here. It's still in the upper 90s and lower 100s. I've been using the good old 10w-30 as of late. Thanks.

Here is my opinion.
20w 50 Valvoline Racing.
If you want to go synthetic.
AMS Oil 20w 50.
If your engine is well broken in and dont leak.

I use Castrol 20w 50 in my 88 5.0 with 163K mi.

In Houston the temps are still in the 90s this time of year, I use 20w50 all year long.
