i have a 67 mustang coupe with a straight 6 and a three speed manual trans. i would like to put a auto- matic in it without removing the 6. any i deals on a tranny . i heard a c-4 would work.

A C4 will work. I'm not sure what donor would be appropriate...obviously, a mustang tranny would work, but I'm not sure what other cars you could use. Just be sure it comes out of a car with a floor shifter. Otherwise, the linkage will be upside down.

I dont know if a C-6 would work. I have one out of a 73 coupe. It would definatly need a rebuild. It has been sitting for 10+ years. I would also have a torque converter and flexplate and shifter, and about everythign u would need. I have no idea if any of that would work on your engine. This is out of a 73 coupe with a 351 C. I dont know what would or wouldnt work. I am doing the opposite with my car. Auto to manual. I woudlnt be looking for too much for this, so if it would work, and u know something about rebuilding trannies, let me know.

i found a c-4 out of a 66 with a 6 cylinder thats for your answers
