EFI 5.0 Radiator swap into 67

I am installing a 91 5.0 in my 67 and was looking for a radiator (probably aluminum) and realize that the 91 uses a reverse flow configuration, I would like to keep the 91 in its original form. So my question is can I get a aftermarket radiator with the proper hose configuration for the 5.0 engine or does it have to be a "reverse flow" radiator? have seen conversion radiators for this set up with various conversion kits but they are copper and cost as much as a good aluminum one. Kinda confused. Thanks in advance, Walt

Aluminum will cost around 600 dollars I am assuming. You could also try to fit a universal radiator, they are much less expensive.

What I was wondering was does it matter inlet & outlet on a radiator or is it just a heat exchanger? I was looking at some on line and some companys state inlet/outlet and some do not

I have an '87 5.0 in my 65 mustang. I have a heavy duty 3 row that's made for a regular 65 mustang. However, I had the outlets placed in the proper location:

Top is on passenger side
Bottom is on driver side.

Everything works great. I also have a Spal electric fan. Good thing you're going with the 91 5.0L...you'll get the mass air sensor as opposed to the speed density. I'm saving up for the mass air kit.

If you can not get your radiator outlet moved to the driver side

Sells a nice manderal bent tube to bring the flow to the other side, I made one up out of some manderel bent tube and welded it up.

im in the process of doing this right now too,and the radiator in aluminum is anywhere from $189-289 for a replacement type with 1" rows.Im also going to get a driver side outlet water pump and use the stock 5.0 hoses. My buddy already did this so i know it fits.Oh and then use a Taurus 3.8L fan.

Be carefull with fans, especially electric fans, because you'll run into clearance problems with that late-model 5.0. I believe it's a little longer than an early-model 5.0 (i.e. pre-1980). I only have like 4" between my radiator core and water pump shaft. So that Taurus fan didn't fit on my setup. Just fyi.

Or, you can do it the way we did on my '67, and solder some copper pipe together to run the intake to the drivers side outlet.

I'm using a summit universal rad, top inlet is on the pass side and the bottom outlet is on the drivers side. Cools like a champ and was pretty cheap to boot.

update:well i went with a Summit(made by Northern) chevy style with drivers inlet on the top and pass on the bottom to keep my pass outlet water pump,i also cut out the core support to get air to all of the 28.5X19" core.Just need to weld some mounting tabs tomorow and make some new hoses.
