Remote Oil Flitering / Pre-Oiler?

What's the general consensus on remote oil filtering systems?

More specifically, what are your thoughts on pre-oilers?

Has anyone installed a pre-oiler system on a early model Mustang?

cheers.

I haven't installed one but I sure like the idea of them. They say the majority of engine wear happens when you start up the engine after its been sitting for a while and a pre oiler should eliminate that totally. It would also be great for the sunday driver car that may sit for a week or two without being started and then is likely stored all winter...I pull my distributor each spring and prime the oil pump and pressurize the system with a drill and an old distributor shaft. It's a major pain in the butt but the engine has stayed together for around 17 years with lots of pounding on it and I think that is part of the reason why it has lasted so long.If I ever get around to building a high dollar FE motor for my mustang I am really going to look into getting one.

I am really considering one, but I have other projects taking my time and money.

remote filter systems, good cause you can add filter capacity to them.

preoilers, also good if they are the type that can also be used as a backup when you lose oil pressure momentarily due to high cornering speeds as they will help save bearings.
