the underside of a 67 mustang behind the right hand front tire, around the frame rail and rocker panel. I need an idea of what is there. I brought home a 67 coupe this weekend and I think the jackass that had the car before me cut some stuff out...that he shouldent have

IIRC, on the 67's there was only one torque box. I believe it was on the drivers side. So if one side looks different than the other...that's the reason. Again IIRC, in 68 they started putting torque boxes on both sides.

You are correct no RS torque box till '68. I added a passenger side torque box on my '67, mainly because The car was starting to sag on that side. Stu

I just added torque boxes to my 65. It was a piece of cake...except the torque boxes were made for a convertible. FWIW, the convertible has a different inner rocker panel. So, the torque boxes needed to be modified slightly. If you can find some that are made for a coupe, you're golden. As I said, they're not hard to install. On a scale from 1 to 5 (with 5 being most difficult), it's a 2 or 3.

thanks i just ordered about 700$ worth of parts. this winter im replacing most of the front 1/2 of the car, new drivers side frame, pass. shock tower, cowl, floor pan and supports, it came with 2 torque boxes for the frotn also. so that will keep me busy for a while. other than subframe connectors and an 8 pt. roll cage is there anything else i should do to strengthen the chassis?
thanks,
carl
