winner 1971 mach 1 71-73 the best stang ever ??

Thanks everyone who voted & made me # 1 for the month of
October 2005 Over @ the summit online car show.
Ive had 67,69,70,71. To be honest I love the 71-73 over most anyother year because they got it right by 71 unfortunatly they didnt last long look at the specs, early 69 glued in windows by late 69 & 70 this was corrected, but kinda limited to what engine you can put in em ( except now thanks to aftermarket & or motor plates. 71-73 handle so much better than any other stock. wider stance, lower,
& have the op of any engine combo thats why ford made em that way so nothing would have to be sent Kar Kraft ( boss 429) 69-70 thanks again

Always liked the 71-73 Stangs. Fastbacks just look meaner.

Yep....got to agree here, I absolutely love the 71-73 Mustangs...especially the fastbacks, great stance...low and mean! I think if I had to pick one thing I didn't like on them it would have to be the oversized urethane bumper on the 73's. I know it was designed to comply with federal standards, but it just doesn't work in my book with the sleeker lines on these years.
In 71, you could get what you want, from a six banger all the way up to the 429SCJ (I always though it would have been cool if they would have just gone ahead and made a 460CJ, but I am sure they had plans for that) Long live the Big Stangs!
just my .02 cents worth!

I'm thinkin' I must have missed something here as I didn't see the opportunity to vote, but congratulations none the less. I am a bit of a 71 fan myself, but of course my personal bias is for the drop tops.

Have fun with your fastback. Rock on!

hey bill, your the king of the 71-73 stang man. i'd love to have a 71 convertible with a BBF in it. i think its awesome to have the top down during the summer and have the balls you got in the stang. having the FB is cool too but not as cool in a hot day with the top down. might weight a bit more but who cares with the motor/trans/rear combo you got.
