c4 balance

hi all, i'm wanting to put a 5.0 from an 88 cougar in a 68 mustang. i want to keep the c4 in it. i cant find a 157 tooth plate with the 50 oz weight. has anybody cut the big weight off and welded it on the small flex plate ? if there is a plate like this already available please let me know. thanks for the help, dave.
