Front Suspension

I currently am working on my 67 gt convertible, 390 FE, 4 speed toploader, aluminum heads/intake, FPA headers, Caltrac traction bars, 3/4' sway bar in the rear, 3.89 gears with welwood disks brakes.

The car launches like a rocket......but i found out the hard way by stepping on the brakes the car pitched sideways in a sudden stop. After putting it up on the hoist I found on of the rebuilt calibers leaking I replaced the 2 years ago. lucky no walls in the way when i stopped just a cop, but that is another story.

Now I have to determine what I want to do, I need new calipers, but my steering is a little sloppy a delay when turning the wheel. THe power steering pump is about 3 years old, 3 year old front KYB shocks and 610 lbs springs. I am not sure if I should put a FATMAN bolt in suspension, TCP coil ovr shock which you can what forever for or the new set up from GLOBAL WEST which is new but looks impressive.

ANY ideas ??? or good solutions
Zane

TCP coilover. It works and the springs can be traded out easier.

Global West UCA and Strut. Screw-in ball joint on modified LCA with a spherical bearing installed. And, for steering...

Randall's Rack

I've got one for my 65. Kermit put one on his 65.

I spoke with Randall today, he just got back from SEMA lucky bum...THe long and short of it is look for some new products coming out from him in the near future.
In my case rack and pinion is out for awhile until they determine to clear the manual clutch linkage....bohoo for me.. I would have to upgrade to hydrolic clutch with a T-56 manual tranny..would be nice better save my money.
