What do you think of my 5.0 combo?
I'm building up a 5.0 roller motor for my 66 Coupe, and I was wondering what somebody other than me thought of it. This car will be driven a lot (I hope) so driveablity and MPG are a consideration.
Here's what I had in mind:
1987 5.0 XXX roller block/crank/rods (ARP rod & cap bolts)
9.7:1 final compression with forged pistons (moly rings)
DIY ported 1975 351W heads, 61cc, 1.84/1.54 stainless valves
Trickflow 1 cam .499/.510lift 221/225dur 112LSA
Wieland Stealth & 600cfm 4bbl (Edelbrock probably)
Duraspark iginiton
Heddman coated shorties or coated Tri-ys
Maybe a small shot of n2o in the future?
How'd I do? Whaddya think? Ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks

EDIT: 3.50 gears and a T5 are in the plans as well, good choice?
