What do you think of my 5.0 combo?

I'm building up a 5.0 roller motor for my 66 Coupe, and I was wondering what somebody other than me thought of it. This car will be driven a lot (I hope) so driveablity and MPG are a consideration.

Here's what I had in mind:

1987 5.0 XXX roller block/crank/rods (ARP rod & cap bolts)
9.7:1 final compression with forged pistons (moly rings)
DIY ported 1975 351W heads, 61cc, 1.84/1.54 stainless valves
Trickflow 1 cam .499/.510lift 221/225dur 112LSA
Wieland Stealth & 600cfm 4bbl (Edelbrock probably)
Duraspark iginiton
Heddman coated shorties or coated Tri-ys
Maybe a small shot of n2o in the future?

How'd I do? Whaddya think? Ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks
--Kyle

EDIT: 3.50 gears and a T5 are in the plans as well, good choice?

Unless you already have the 351W heads and have had them done, ditch that part of your plan and go aftermarket. Heads make the engine. If aftermarket is too steep, look into GT40 or GT40P heads.

Looks like a nice little combo and should work fine for the intended application...Your heads should work fine as well.

I have a 66 with a 5.0 & AOD. I am trying a E303 cam, the Y303 aluminum heads with a Cobra intake. I have a 73mm MASS and 24 pound injectors through a 70mm throttle body.
I have the JBA headers and their exhaust system with the GT tips. [they don't give that stuff away cheap]
I used a Versailles 9 inch rear end with the disc's. I had to change the center section to a 3.50 posi. I have 17X8 all around with 215/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear. I have the Cal Trac's to help hook, and a rear sway bar.
I have all new interior with things like the aluminum instrument panel. The front end is all new with Shelby drop, fat sway bar, etc.
Did I mention my new pole barn looks like a parts store? Now if I can find some time to put all these parts where they belong. I have no idea what I was thinking when I ordered all those AN fittings, custom grill, tri bar headlights, and so many other things.
Is it possible to be a car junkie? It is a dark day if you can't find something new to buy for the car.

I'd drop the cam size down one notch. With a stock convertor in the C-4, it'll bang in and out of gear from park/nuetral and idling in gear won't be much fun either. Mileage would be better to. Stleath manifold might cause some hood fit problems. They are a bit tall.
