Of the 2, I'd probably go with CHP.

Mark O'Neil, the owner of CHP, does a lot of posting on the Hardcore 5.0 forums. He seems like a decent guy that takes care of business. Lots of guys on that board use his stuff.

Keep in mind, you are likely to find good and bad about every company. Just need to sort thru it all and make your best decision when doing mail order engines.

I thinks it's always best to try and work with a local machinist/builder.

Good luck.

CHP did my machine work and installed a new rotating assembly. Mark was very fair and stood behind his work. I recommend that ALL requirement details are documented with any machine shop or engine builder.

FPS did mine, mainly because CHP was a little further, but Troy, FPS owner, let me pick his brain for weeks and also make payments on it.Quality seems to very good and fast turn around.

A couple friends and I recently met Troy at FPS on a trip there and he is a good genuine guy,has lots of good equipment and a good shop .He has all good gear and knows his stuff. He helped us to source a fair bit of gear we wanted while visiting there for real good prices.
One of my friends got one of his engines ,347 windsor ,sent here to Oz and it is real nice
