cooling temp.

just completed a 351w bored 40 over, stroke is stock (3.5), mild cam .456 lift on both intake and exhaust, wiend stealth dual plane intake with holly750 (probably to much carb.), aluminum brodix heads with 2.02 and 1.60 valves topped with comp cams roller rockers 1.6 ratio, this is accompanied with a griffin aluminum radiator . thermostat is 160 degree. msd electronic ignition.

have not even broke in engine, but it seems to be running a little warm 190-200 is this normal? should i change thermostat?

Over bores will sometimes run hotter due to thinner walls. Might want to go to an alum waterpump for better flow rate.

It looks like your setup is running a little on the warm side. Also it close to winter, so expect temps to rise during the summer months. Things to consider - electric fan or move a flex fan about 1" to the radiator, also add a fan shroud, high volume water pump, separate radiator for auto trans (if you have one). More horsepower = more heat.

My modified 289 is finding it hard to reach 165-170 after installing a larger flex fan and moving it closer to the radiator (1" to radiator). Stock 2-core radiator.

I was told a new engine might run warm for a little while, but my stroker did the same, would run at 210+ with a Be Cool radiator and twin fans etc.I talked to somebody else that said if it runs hot,its not gonna change.I ended up putting a 28X19 radiator in there and now it runs at 180-190* with the blower
