disk brake conversion

Iput spindles and disk brakes off a 75 maverick on my 68 6-cyl . Can I still use my non power master cylinder? I also swaped the rear end , the mouting points are the same but the over all width is 2 inches wider. Will this cause a problem?

2" won't be to bad. Check the tire to fender for rubbing. If you're buying new rims you can go with 1/2"-1" more negative offset to bring the tires back under the fenderwells. But check now much clearence you have to your leaf springs first. 75 Mav spindles use a different outer tierod. I think Mustang Unlimited has them for $30 each. Brake hose are different. Master cylinder, if you had drums before you might have to step up to a larger piston. Calibers require more volume then drum brakes. Get the prop valve to. Test drive the car in a VERY safe place with no other cars around. Big parking lot at night is best.

I used a MANUAL DISC BRAKE MC from a 1974 Maverick for my '69 and it fit right in. Believe it's the only MANUAL MC for disc brakes that Ford made back then. Your '68 might require a different pedal but they are available all over for a few bucks.
Good luck.
