Need new headers

Ok, swapped a T5 into my 66 mustang. Wrapped the primaries with header wrap and even wrapped the clutch cable with header wrap.
Needless to say, it still melted my cable.

I spent probably 3 hours tryin to route the new cable a different way, new one being longer (quite a bit longer actually). But with no success, the cable will not route a different way without totally laying on a header tube or the angle into the tranny is all wrong.

The main problem I see, is the 2 middle primaries point towards the motor and are right in front of where the clutch cable hooks into the tranny.

Does anyone know of a header that takes into account putting a manual with a clutch cable?

FPA has headers designed especially for cables.

Cool, thanks for the info. I found their website and will be calling them tomorrow when their open.

But was also wondering, anyone know of any headers that dont cost an ungodly amount of money? I know ya get what ya pay for, but $500-$800 seems a little steep for headers. Maybe its just me, /shrug

What kind of headers are you using? I am looking to do a T5 swap in February / March and I have Hooker Competition headers. I was going to use the cable clutch as well and have been worried about this specific issue. Should I just spend the extra $$$$ for a hydrolic setup? Also, is it possible to do a T5 swap and keep the mechanical clutch setup (not what I wanted to do)?

I think their flowtech headers. Bought them like 7 years ago so i cant remember, theyve lasted well for the like $100 i paid for em, heh.

The hydraulic setup, i dunno, ive been toyin with the idea myself, but those kits are like $400+ to0.

I think you can keep the Zbar setup? not exactly sure on that one
