68 Mustang Coupe Value

One of my neighbors wants to sell his 68 mustang and is asking $3000.00. It has a 289 with the C4 tranie runs fine. Faded paint minor body dents & scratches. Inerior needs some work (Headliner / dash) and I think the tires ar prety much shot.

So is this car worth 3000? If not what do you think it is worth?

If it's pretty rust free, oh yeah. The more orginal the more it's worth. Even a shell well shell for $1000+. Parts are easy and plentiful for it. Look for rust in the usual places and even then, you can build a Stang from the parts now a days.

Worth that if not rusted out. Even a shell would go for $1000+ If it's good shape, oh yeah not a bad buy. Look for rust thou. Floor pans and fender corners. also a few other spots to look. Good way to get the price down some too.
