Shock tower reinforcement

I've been scouting the forum but haven't come across anything conclusive as far as approaches to shock tower reinforcement. I had seen a recommendation to a kit from Crites, but they no longer mfg it. This is concerning a 1967 Mustang for a mostly-strip application (it will NEVER see fast corners). Anyone have some recommendations or some been-there-done-that experience?

you can make one pretty easily if you have a 4 foot long steel or alluminum bar like 1 inch diamiter and two 4*4 inch metal square plates for the ends to go over the shocks. if you have a welder. it would be cheap and strong. that is what i would do
