Throw out bearing clearance issue with Lakewood Bellhousing

65 stang w/1977 302ci. Installed cable clutch conversion with a lakewood bellhousing. Trans is a 85 T5. Using a 164 tooth flywheel with a 11 in clutch and long finger type pressure plate. Problem is that I cannot get any freeplay. There is no clearance between the throw out bearing and the pressure plate. Anybody have any ideas on what I may be doing wrong..........Thanks for your help.

The long finger pressure plate sits higher off the flywheel than the diaphram type. You can adjust the cable back if you have an adjustable one. If it isn't adjustable, the other option is use a diaphram type pressure plate, or both.
