one more front end question?

okay, i got the coil springs in on one side now after i let the tension off the compressor everything went into place but now the whole thing sits to low to even think about getting the tire on. i put a jack under the lower control arm and raised it but the whole car came up. what holds the upper and lower control arm assy. up in place? thanks, wendell.

Just keep jacking until you get enough compression to get the shock attached - the shock will limit suspension travel.

If you have to (like if you have no engine in it) get a buddy or someone to stand in the engine compartment to help give the front end some weight. If he makes engine noises so much the better.

1. If you put the jack under the lower control arm and the car simply raises (and the spring does not compress) put the motor back in the car

2. If you need to install a tire on a car and the assembly it bolts to is too low to the ground, jack the car up higher.
