1973 Mustang 429?

I am hopping forums from my regular Galaxie forum but I have a 'stang question. Did Ford put a 429 into the 1973 Mustang? I have a chance at picking up one with a great body and little interior. The guys says it's a Mach 1 with the 429 sitting in the garage. Everything I can find says the last year for the 429 was 1971. Any info is appreciated.

Get the VIN and we can figure what motor it had ( and even if it is is a real mach) Stu

I have decided to dump the idea of buying the car. The seller originally told me it was #'s matching 1971 Mach 1 with the 429 motor. Not that I have anything against the '73 351 cars but it was going to be an investment. Thanks for the help and info.
