Rear glass install 66 coupe

I'm about to install my rear glass in my 66 coupe.I have the window and seal.I read a article in Mustang monthly and they only used window weld around the outside of the window where the clips are mounted.They didn't put any adhesive between the glass and the seal.I was wondering if anyone has installed a rear window and if they used the adhesive in the seal where the glass sits or just around the outside.Thanks in advance

no adhesive between window and the seal is what ive read. Just replaced front and rear glass in my 66, i actually didnt use any window weld at all ... anywhere ... and it doesnt leak a drop

pass1over,installed the rear window today with no window weld.It is a real nice tight fit.I'll test it tomorow for leaks.If it does I could put the window weld in.I rellay don't think it's gonna leak though.Thanks for the reply

from what ive read, you ...
put the clips in for the trim
fill up under the seal with window weld
put on trim while its still wet and let it cure behind it

that was the last article I read for doing this. It seems everyone has their own way
