Rear brake drum backing plate problem

Disaster! While cleaning up my 9" on a pair of jackstands, it fell off (as I was rotating it) and bent one of the brake backing plates - now the drum will not fit back on... [img]/forums/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img] Apart from the extra work of pulling it off and replacing (I assume I can't just abuse it with a large hammer until the drum fits back on!) I was not able to find replacements in any of my usual Mustang related catalogs/websites. Any one know where I can get a replacement? There must be hundreds of these things lying around now after rear disk conversions right? I have that in plan too, just not yet...

Use the brake shoe# and look for the same in other models. Also check with a parts store on the brake shoes and cylinder type# and see what other models use that same part. Then check the junkyards.
