i have a 67 mustang with a 289 under the hood. my C4 transmission is crap and tends to leak about a week after we pull it out. its leaking from the bellhousing and where the bellhousing meets the transmission body itself. we have took it out and put it back in 4 times. so now im thinking about scrapping the C4 and put in C6 tranny in. my question to you is will everything bolt up correctly? will the drveshaft work? linkage and trans cooling lines be correct for the C6? there is a TCI "sizzler" C6 transmission from summit racing that is for the small block ford. this is the trans im looking into getting. i just need to know if everything will "bolt" right up and not have to modify anything.
i would just get another c4 they a great light strong little tranny's the c6 weightsmore and also uses alot more power to the rear wheels, that means your car will be slower
