1969 428SCJ

I have just recently purchased a 69 SCJ with a Marti Report. My title says non highway vehicle due to vehicle not manufactured for street use. Did all SJC's have this on title ot MSO or is it unique to my car> Thanks

Here in California, that sort of notice used to mean that it didn't originally (nor now) meet smog requirements. If you cannot get a license plate for it, in Calif. you can't get insurance for it either.

If I remember correctly, a tag number of 420 was OK to license anyplace. One with a 421 tag was OK in 49 states. I dunno what if you had one of the 422 tags.

Thanks for the reply but this car has the original smog pump. It has just come out of a 4 year restoration and it was sold new in Ill.

I had insurance on my falcon for 6 months and there was no tags or title to it... the Mustang too...
His title sounds funky though... I'd ask the DMV about it then the state it was originally from too....
