What gear ratio was in a 70 mach 1 rear end?

There should be a tag on the rear that has the ratio stamped in it.

many, 2.80-4.30. Check the tag on the diff or the door tag coding.

Found the tag this is what it reads
WES AA 9LB
3 00 9 952A

I also have a question on the transmission here is what I found for tags

RATT BB
012908

Stamped on the side is
C8AR7006-C

Can anyone decode this?

9LB= 1969 Nov 2nf week. That was when it was built, 3 00= 3.00 ratio, 9= 9" r/p. The door tag will tell you more about the trans. What engine do you have?

Need the trans code from the door tag - probably a C4 or FMX, maybe.

You're saying you have a 70 Mach 1 Stang, 351W 4bbl, 9" 3.00 ratio. You have a real keeper there. Very sought after car. AC, PS, disc brakes????
