Exclamation My First Project. Need Help please.

I recently bought a '71 mustang coupe. It has a 351 cleveland motor, which has been recently rebuilt. This is my fist mustang, and I don't know where to start. Body looks great, runs smooth, but it could use some help with the sound. If anyone has advice for me I'd appreciate it.

Re: My First Project. Need Help please.

You came to the right place. You may want to post this in the Garage forum as well. Try uploading some pictures of the car and I bet you'll get a better response about what you can do to improve the car.

I assume "sound" means exhaust and not stereo. See this article for a nice exhaust system we put on a 2V Cleveland in a Montego.

Thumbs up Re: My First Project. Need Help please.

You should start with the soundness of the car concerning safety and onto rust issues under the car. You might not be so happy after you see the bottom side. Most Mustang's of this era have major rust issues unless the car came out of a dry climate. Good luck, and get ready to let go of that savings account.
